Collage of Inspiration, Friday Edition (wk 3)

Let's. Get. To. It. What caught my eye in the world this week....what informed and/or made me "create" something in some way--a quiet moment, a longer step in my stride, a firmer gasp on a Micron? There was less inking and painting this week due to a hectic schedule. HOWEVER, people/places always inspire....pass it along. Here it goes...

Weekend Players. London-based duo takes its song "Jericho" to levels of relaxation and to register them chill vibes in your life. Good studio, work, or prep-bedtime song. Play it!

Science Lab. This week I spent a couple mornings in a science lab, observing and drawing. Here are some out takes. Click on each image for a little narrative...in lightbox.

"As Seen." This is a continuation of my weekly series called, well, "As Seen." I am a fan of reuse/recycle/give-it-away-before-you-put-it-in-the-trash mentality. This individual (who gives away random free things) and I share a similar world view....

Wildfire Managers and Firefighters. These ladies and gents save our forests/people, protect wildlife habitats, and preserve the integrity of the alpine forests. 'Tis the season for control burns in the Pacific Northwest. They make the world smell as if we're sitting around a campfire. The smoke permeates everything--right down to my pillowcase--before the wind lifts it to Colorado....
