Audio-phile. This week I found some new house music, while tinkering and riding my rabbit-hole-of-listening habits. Such selections are good for: (1) driving next to starched white mountains or a large body of water, (2) feeling deckled light on your face with eyes closed, and/or (3) inking something on paper (or working on a computer screen, I suppose). Both good vibes.
The Magician is a Brussels-Belgium (based) house DJ and producer. Here is "Sunlight."
iPhone accessibility and Framing Life. About 12 years ago at a documentary photography workshop with Mary Ellen Mark (one of my photog heroes), she said that great documentary photography only lived because of "access." I DO love the portability of having a camera always on me, rather than having to lug around a DSLR anymore. Art supplies take up that space now. You just never know when light and color go "HELLO! SEE ME HERE!" And so I do frame you, dear life!
And Vancouver (BC) group, Brasstronaut, brings moody experimental rock for your day (or night).
A Dancer's Body in New Form. I decided to use watercolor this week for quick, timed sketches. Each represents five minutes of passed time.
Yoga 101. And a little help for the yoga pose that brings each day together...welcome (and here is advice to fix!) your Chaturanga Dandasana
Moleskine Non Sequitur. More random acts of doodling and an ode to mistakes.
