Stories from the Trail, the Mind, and the Marginalia of a NotebooK

I’m a writer, runner, hiker, and lover of wild places. My work blends nature and personal reflection—sometimes serious, often curious, always chasing a good view or a better sentence. In the past, I made single-panel comics and comic essays that mixed humor with a hint of heart. I believe in wearing three layers. The magic of a Jetboil, instant coffee, and sketchbook adds to life in the backcountry. Through words or trails, I explore what it means to move through landscapes—outer and inner—with a sense of wonder.

weekend daze.

Happy West Coaster (USA) in the PNW

When your dog finds a spot during zazen.
And still life with a notebook and pencil nearby, too.

Runners don’t take the winters off.

My unending personal task:
self-education
